To work closely with local organisations, residents and Borough Councillors to improve our area. 2. To challenge the continuing deterioration of our roads and footways and to seek ongoing improvements to the Highway services. RESIDENTS CONCERNS: I have raised over twenty areas of concerns with the KCC highway authorities since being elected. EXTENSION TO PROPOSED NATURE RESERVE: I have reinvigorated negotiations between the Borough Council and County Council on the transfer of KCC land along Sandling Lane to be combined with land allocated around the previous TAVR site as a local nature reserve. 4. To continue to support and promote the provision and improvements to local community facilities. CHILDRENS CENTRE AND A COMMUNITY FACILITY: At my instigation, discussions between The Borough and County Council on the provision of a joint facility in North Ward have taken place with positive proposals to be investigated. 5. Promote and support better co-operation and closer working between 'partners' constituted by the county and local boroughs.
