A Personal Thank You To The Residents Of Eccles!

Thank You Residents of Eccles

Fresh from KCC Planning Applications Committee, when sense prevailed, I would personally like to thank ALL the residents of Eccles for the support that they gave me as their local elected representative with the Eccles v. Southern Water Planning application.

A unanimous decision turned down Southern Water`s application to expand their waste water recycling operation at the sensitive Bull Lane site.

The support that all the residents gave me was superb, and gave me the strength to challenge the officers recommendation to support the application.

I personally would like to thank Gilly Hurley, a local Mum, newly elected to Aylesford Parish Council, for leading the residents campaign.

Southern Water have still the opportunity to appeal against KCC Planning decision, but I`m confident that if they do the residents will again turn out in force to oppose.
